About Us
We accept the chain of authority which is recognized by Muslims universally with the first and highest being the Holy Quran (Word of Allah) revealed to Prophet Muhammad (ppbuh); followed by the life example of Muhammad (ppbuh) and his authentic recorded sayings (Hadith); followed by Ijma’a (the consensus of the good and knowledgeable believers in the Community of Islam). The believers should respect the authority of their Imam and the Imam should respect the consensus of the Muslim public. The leadership of Masjid William Salaam holds the highest regard for Imam W. Deen Mohammed’s wisdom and commentary and insight of the Holy Qur’an and of the observed practices and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (ppbuh). We support and associate ourselves with Imam Mohammed’s leadership and we constantly draw from the knowledge and understanding from which Allah has blessed him with.
